Your data never leaves Switzerland
Walterdesk is hosted exclusively in secure and redundant datacentres located in Switzerland. This is not a marketing argument: it is a contractual, verifiable guarantee that conditions your Swiss FADP compliance.

Secure datacentres in Switzerland
Redundant infrastructure, ISO 27001, powered by renewable energy.
Why Switzerland
The hosting location determines the applicable law to your data. For a Swiss company, hosting in Switzerland is the consistent choice.
A protective legal framework
The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) offers a level of protection recognised as adequate by the European Union. Access requests from foreign authorities must go through international mutual legal assistance, under the control of Swiss authorities - unlike providers subject to the US CLOUD Act.
Neutrality as a guarantee
Switzerland's political stability and tradition of neutrality have long made it a preferred location for sensitive data. Banks, international organisations, and law firms host their most critical information here for the same reasons.
A responsible infrastructure
Our Swiss datacentres run on renewable electricity and are among the most efficient in Europe: optimised cooling and reuse of generated heat to warm housing.
A complete local ecosystem
Your provider, your host, your contract, your invoice, and your support are Swiss. In case of query or dispute, your contact falls under Swiss law, in Geneva - not a parent company abroad.
A high-availability architecture
Sovereignty must not rhyme with technical compromise. Our infrastructure is designed for the service continuity your teams expect from a daily work tool.
No data outside Switzerland
Conversations, files, user accounts, backups, logs: all your instance's data are stored in secure datacentres in Switzerland. No replication, cache, or backup exists outside Swiss territory.
Certified datacentres
Our Swiss datacentres are ISO 27001 certified for information security and ISO 14001 for environmental management, with redundant infrastructure, strict physical access control, and continuous monitoring.
High availability
The infrastructure relies on redundant components: doubled power supply, network, and storage, continuous monitoring, and tested failover procedures. The Enterprise plan adds a contractual 99.9% availability SLA.
Disaster recovery
Encrypted backups are kept on a site distinct from production, in Switzerland as well. In the event of a major incident, your instance can be restored from your plan's last backup point.
